Hi there. Thanks for visiting my little e-corner of the world. I’m a storyteller. Because I like to settle in and get to know my characters, I write novels. About my work:

THE McCLOUD HOME FOR WAYWARD GIRLS, contemporary fiction, is published by Berkley Books/Penguin. It’s the story of three generations of women who run a bed and breakfast from their historic property, formerly a home for unwed mothers, and the scandalous family secret that surfaces when the inn hosts the town matriarch's funeral.

STORK, FROST, and FLOCK (Candlewick Press) are books in a young adult trilogy, borrowing from Norse Mythology and Icelandic folklore to tell a contemporary tale.

STORK is the story of 16-year-old Katla (Kat) Leblanc, whose life is upended after a move from L.A. to Minnesota. As if being the new kid isn’t challenge enough, Kat is drawn into an ancient society of women with the extraordinary task of soul delivery. STORK was starred by and received a Perfect 10 from VOYA.

In FROST, book two, Katla inadvertantly triggers the snowstorm of the century, drawing the attention of Brigid, a gorgeous environmental researcher with an unusual interest in Katla’s boyfriend, Jack.

FLOCK is the final installment, Katla must use her wit, her soul-delivering powers, and a few out-of-this-world colleagues to fend off a disaster of epic proportions. About FLOCK, the incredible Meg Cabot blurbed: “Highly original plot, humor, and sizzling romance … I found myself turning pages late into the night.”

I'm also the proud recipient of an Iowa Author Award in the children/young adult category. Fancy dinner included.
